I am a Reader in the department of Computer Science, University of Bath. I am also director of the Media Technology Research Centre, again at the University of Bath. I teach and research in areas related to Computer Vision and Computer Graphics.

I am especially interested in automatically  processing real photographs into art. The pictures on this page show a few examples, each one from a distinct research project. I have found that making these pictures automatically requires a lot of modern computer vision, and machine learning too. In many cases this novel application of computer vision forces new problems.
