Course Schedule for CM50175
Research Project Preparation   2003

This is tentative -- the paper discussions may be reduced or eliminated in favor of longer research presentations emphasizing methodology, or for one or two of the lecture topics if we have more staff presentations than will fit in the afternoons.  The paper discussions are intended to help students learn to think critically about papers and to help them form peer groups to collaborate in finding relevant literature.

May
seminars are optional, they are provided for support (answering student questions) and to encourage students to proof-read for each other.  In fact, only one of them is before the project deadline now, so the other three probably won't be held -- email me if you can think of a reason to have them.
