Interests

I am interested in the communication of mathematics and how this can be more accessible. I attend events organised by the Dyscalculia and Dyslexia Interest Group (DDIG), Supporting Mathematics in Higher Education and am looking forward to the first meeting of the Accessing Maths, Stats and OR Working Group linked with the MSOR Network.

I retain a keen interest in cryptography and the supporting mathematics. My Ph.D work, under the supervision of Professor J. H. Davenport, considered the properties of the (Special) Number Field Sieve, a factoring algorithm for large integers.

Other Work

I also work for Learning Support providing 1-1 study skills (mathematics) tutorial support and subject specific academic support.
