Qualifications

2004 MSc Human Communication and Computing (University of Bath)
1999 BSc (hons) Communications and Society (University of Leicester)

Research Interests

My research, supervised by Dr Leon Watts, seeks to investigate the impact of Computer-Mediated Communication (CMC) on the process of third-party dispute-resolution (such as mediation or conciliation).

The aim is to develop a better understanding of the relational impact of mediated communication.

Related Interests

I volunteer as a community mediator with Portsmouth Mediation Service, a workplace mediator at the University of Bath. I am also employed by the UK Advisory, Conciliation and Arbitration Service (Acas) as an employment rights advisor.

I also organise the Department's HCI seminar series. (If you are interested in presenting at one of these seminars, feel free to contact me).
