SCHEDULE
Phase zero
- Attendees required to produce 2 min summary of their research.
- Attendees required to bring to the workshop 1 object that symbolizes their research.
Phase One 9:00-12:30
- 9:00- 10:30 Round table session in which participants explain to their neighbour what they do and then their neighbour explains to
the entire workshop that persons research relative to the object they have brought.
- 10:30 - 11:00 Coffee/tea/ juice break
- 11:00 - 12:30 Round table and wall session where through process using post-its, sorting and
grouping the research interests, research problems and research groupings are identified across the participants. With facilitators and participants choosing how
to group their collective and common interests, approaches and research capability.
- 12:30- 2:00pm Lunch
Phase Two
- 2:00pm - 3:30pm Group session where the identified groupings in phase one each produce a presentation of the research challenges that they as a group phase.
This will include the potential impact of these breakthroughs and their benefits, the approach and teams they would take to achieve these breakthroughs and the
potential funders of the research. Each group then presents back their findings to all the workshop.
- 3:00 - 3:30pm tea/coffee/juice break
- 3:30 - 4:30 Open session in which the outputs from phase One and the previous session are used to structure the themes for a special issue.
Identification of potential contributors and schedule for producing the special issues.
- 4:30 - 5:30 Open session identifying follow on activities from the day including, pursuing research proposal collaborations,
further joint research meetings, and establishment of network of communication and inclusion of wider audience.
